12/12/04          Report of District Councillor

Has been appointed to the District Council grants working party

Committee. Had visited the Distillers complex at the White Horse

                        friendly.

. Uffington Youth FC had started using the floodlights again

. Clerk to bill them as previously

  • Seat and Bin have been erected – thanks to Darren Rolls , and Cllrs.Burls and

McMorrow

  • Floodlighting switch box – we cannot obtain another lock without replacing the

Box. There may be other alternatives. I hope Cllr.Hughes may have some suggestions.

  • The Football Clubhouse, which is siuated on Parish Council property and technically

Is a Parish Council asset is in need of general roof repairs. The Club is keen to make the repairs with their own labour. They would like permission to exact the repairs

And also apply for a grant towards materials from the Council. Any financial support could trigger other grants from the District Council etc. The Club is keen to improve facilities but are concerned about the length of lease limiting their progress. Could we assure the Club we are supportive of their ventures

Peter Gill
