·        Dangerous conditions of  wooden bridges reported to Highways.

Chicken wire has been placed on the bridges. By who ? Clerk to contact Highways again.

·        Insurance – premium agreed at no further cost to PC

·        Football Foundation – remaining grant being processed

·        Dogs – there will be patrols of the village on different by Cllrs

working in pairs looking for owners who do not bag and bin after their dogs. They will carry bags . Further dog bins are being ordered and a dog walking area is being investigated although owners must still pick up excrement .The use of the Rec field is banned by national regulations.

 

8/05/04            Report of Chairman

 

·        Village Festival June 19th/20th  Council to enter a flower arrangement but will not have a stall.

·        OPFA will be holding their AGM in the Millennium Hall on 6th May chairman to talk about Stanford Clerk to talk about insurance problems

·        Nat.West Bonus Savers accounts – Clerk to investigate

·        Mill Farm Plans – it was feared that allowing this without further consideration could lead to housing development

·        Third mower Cllr.Gill to contact person who said would provide spares

·        Verges – Clerk to contact contractor re- cutting

·        Litter – Volunteer picking is risky as insurance does not cover liability

·        Grass verge Chapel Road – Clerk to contact occupier Flower Barn regarding removal of stones from verge which interrupt mowing.

                        On 9th May there will be changes of District Council leadership

                        Asked parish Councils views on White Horse Business Park

                        Council view is that employment is good for the village. Cllr Isaacs in

                        answering the complaint about lighting stated that it was the recommended

                        lighting and if there were complaints why didn’t they let him know ?
